| The thermal combustion plant of Nuova Romano Bolzicco S.p.A. won the "Oscar for Innovation" on March 31st 2001 at the 1st "Dire&Fare nel Nord Est" Fair in Venice, present Minister Bassanini. More than 300 projects applied to the competition – organized by Anciveneto ad Anci SA S.r.l. The award was given to the ten most innovative, efficacious, and fanciful projects carried out by institutions and companies of the three Italian regions: Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Marino Massaro, journalist on "Sole 24 Ore", chaired the jury. | ||

| Nuova Romano Bolzicco S.p.A. was born from the decision of the Crabo Group to finance a new and ambitious project, which was carried out through a close co-operation with the Faculty of Engineering of Udine University: the construction of a thermodestruction plant for industrial waste of wood industry, with the main aim to obtain electrical and thermal energy. |
